2010 Alamo Bowl: What I Saw...

What I saw was a Great Game ! No question, exciting game till the end.

Score by Quarters     1  2  3  4   Score
-----------------    -- -- -- --   -----
Michigan State......  7  7 14  3  - 31
Texas Tech..........  7 13  7 14  - 41

The Spartans proved their resilience, but leading and playing with focus even after 14 players were suspended before the Bowl.  Spartans were well prepared and well coached.

The play calling was far from conservative for much of the game.. with success…. The perfect execution of a fake field goal, and then the direct snap to wide receiver Keshawn Martin to Blair White in the end zone...

But, the forth quarter  injury to Rocco Cironi, and ints. by Cousins, dimmed our chances….

A lose is a lose, but I can see some bright spots for this upcoming season.. Need to work on the defensive side of the ball , especially the secondary..  Spartans are still improving…

Some Alamo Bowl Spartan Highlights…
    * Edwin Baker had 12 carries for 102 yards and a touchdown

    * Keshawn Martin compiled 238 all-purpose yards, this kid is F-A-S-T !

    * All-America Greg Jones had 13 tackles giving him 154 tackles for the season.

    * Kirk Cousins was 13-of-27 passing for 220 yards and a touchdown in the game

    * Recovering the second half TTU fumble
    * Did Michigan play in a Bowl Game ...?
