This has to be the most ridiculously homer assessment of collge football uniforms I have ever seen. There is nothing uniqure and certainly nothing "classic" (how many times has the helmet design changed?) about our uniforms. MSU's jersey designs are cookie cutter and as basic as it gets and not in the good (PSU) way. No offense, but this just defines homer-ism.
Even worse, you lost all objectivity when you listed the Oregon Ducks on the list let alone at #2. Ridiculous
Oregon at the top is horribly wrong. Most combinations does not equal best. You might be able to peg one jersey as top, but not the whole group of products.
Michigan State isn't #1 either. I'd be willing to say top 10-15. Their recent helmet design doesn't have the iconic status of a Florida State, Penn State, or Notre Dame to pull that off. If you talk just jersey/pant combination, they'd be very high.
Also, as an old school Red Raiders fan, I hate their emphasis of black as a color. It is not one of the school colors. They are supposed to be red and white. When you can't get your own school colors right, I don't think that warrants jersey awards.
I'm fine with the list except for Boise State and Oregon, and maybe Pitt. Boise State looks cartoonish to me, even worse on the stupid blue field. Oregon is a mess at #2 - they have certain combinations that look great and others horrible, so at worst would put them out of the top 10. Pitt's uniform was better back in the Dorsett days, if I remember correctly...I like that they went with simple and traditional. The MSU helmet is great (don't change it!), the uniforms classic but not boring, and great colors.
2 other points - The CMU uni with the spear on the helmet would have been a lock...and glad they didn't put the corn and blue flying whatever helmet in the top 10.
ok this is my video i put on youtube. i dont know how it got on here and i have no problem with it being on here but how did you get this? and also i wouldnt necessarily call this homer. green and white has always been my favorite color. in fact, green and white is why i like msu. i dont like msu cuz of the green and white. sooo i guess what im saying is that even if i was a fan of lets say florida state, i would still think michigan state had some awesome uniforms. and remember guys, this was an opinion. if you want to criticize someone's opinion you might as well make a video yourself. at least i had the guts to do that. and i find it funny B MAC that you like michigan states, but not pitts. they are very idenitcal haha. and another thing: flashiest, doesnt mean coolest by any means in my opinion. i like to keep the uniforms classy. which is why teams like msu, psu, pitt, etc.. and oregon has so many, and when they get it right, it looks amazing.
