Former Michigan State DB and current secondary coach Harlon Barnett discusses LB Greg Jones and his place among the Spartans' all-time greats.

I played with Percy Snow, Dixon Edwards, Carlos Jenkins, Kurt Larson —
a lot of good players. Greg Jones ranks up there right at the top with
those guys.

Percy won the Butkus and the Lombardi and was a first-round pick. And
Carl Banks, who went to play for the Giants, was a heck of a player.
There are so many guys. So, I'm not going to say Greg is the
top. But he's right up there with them. He's in that caliber.

I first realized he could be special his freshman year. He was on
kickoff coverage, and it seemed like he was making every
tackle. I was like, “What in the world is going on?” They couldn't.......
