Michigan State:  (16-3, 6-1) Lost a heart breaker at home to Northwestern…. Coble and Thompson for the wild cats played  out of their skulls. ..  And the Spartans were lack luster.. didn’t seemed focused.. and that manifested itself  in a bazillion turnovers.  It was reported that the Flu bug is still going around and players barfing…  Someone needs to sanitize the locker room… 

But It was bound to happen, the Big Ten is such a good conference this year all teams will have a minimum of 2 -3 losses in the conference when its all said and done…   They will continue to beat each other up….

The Game at Ohio State was a different story, the Spartans started out slow, trailed most of the game. A large 35-19 rebounding advantage, helped over come a 12 point deficit.   About half way thru the second period, they finally pulled ahead and won 78 – 67. Summers was bigger than life in the game, hitting 4 out of 5 triples, for a total of 26 points (career high), Lucas with 20, Suton with 13.  Morgan still is reported to be ill… hope hes’ better for the Purdue game….

Next Games are at Iowa and Home against Penn State.

Purdue (15-4, 4-2): ….Beat Minny in the Barn.. In Tubby’s House… in a close one 70 – 62,  Next Games: at Wisconsin and home against the Wolverines.

Illinois (17-3, 5-2):  Illinois smashed the Buckeyes 67 – 49, wow..  Beat Wisconsin in a home game. Next Games: at Minny and Iowa.

Ohio State (13-5, 3-4):  Got beat bad by the Illini 67 – 49, and then beaten by the Spartans at home.  2 losses last week….    Next games up are:  Home against Michigan and at Indiana.

Wisconsin (12-7, 3-4): Lost at home to Iowa 69 – 73 in OT….. Lost to Illinois 57 – 64…..   2 losses last week… Next up: Purdue and NorthWestern.

Minnesota (17-3, 5-3):    Lost at Home to Purdue 62 – 70, Beat Indiana 67 – 63.. The Hoosiers gave Tubby all that he could handle… Next up: only home against Illinois this week.

Michigan(14-6, 4-4):  Penn State Crushed / Beat / Spanked Michigan 73-58, Did beat NW in AnnArbor…. NIT is a more real possibility every week..  Next up:  at Ohio State and at Purdue…

Iowa (12-8, 2-5): Beat up Wisconsin in Wisconsin in OT… Lost to Penn State …. Next up: only game is home against the Michigan State Spartans this week.

Penn State (16-5, 5-3):  Penn State opened a can of Whooop-Ass on Michigan 73-58,  Beat  Iowa in Happy Valley 63 – 59…..  2 wins this week…..   Next up,  Only Game is away against the Spartans.

Northwestern (10-7, 2-5):   Beat Michigan State in East Lansing..  A victory in E.L. hasn’t happened since 1984.. ,  Kevin Coble's 31 points and Thompson had 20 points…  they were rain’in Deeeeep  3 balls like I’ve never seen…  BIG WIN!     Lost to Uof M in AnnArbor…..  Next up,  Only game is Indiana..

Indiana  (5-13, 0-5)  Lost a close one at home to Minny  63 – 67….Next games:  at Northwestern and Ohio State..   They are coming closer, and getting better... bound to beat somebody soon...

Oakland University (13-9, 6-3): Spanked IUPUI….. Beat Western Illinois handily by 40 points, Next up  2 away  games:  the Bison and JackRabbits…
