Big Ten Basketball Rankings: Dec. 22, 2008

Last Saturday the Spartans finally played a game to the level of their capability.. except for the Free throws.. and that they were out rebounded…  These 2 skill sets are usually the highlights / strengths for Spartan Teams... Hmmm... A Win is a Win.. especaily at Great away win against a Very Good Team...

Beating a good Texas team on the road..  getting a signature win is BIG… Helps the March Resume...

This was a Spartacular game to sit in the SpartyMSU Man cave and watch..  I guess the power of Coaching determination and prayer... Close all the way.. not a blow out

Suton is back.. the big guy came back from knee surgery and hit his shots…
But.... They were only 8 – 17 from the strip (WTF), Chris Allen was skunked (WTF again), Raymar had 6 turnovers (Double WTF), They were out rebounded (WTF-WTF).

And they still won, by hitting more shots then Texas…

The tenacity, drive, and endurance kept them in the game, they continued to hang in there, run with the Long Horns. They were in it all the way and pulled it out on a 3 pointer from Summers..  I can only hope this was an indication of the team jelling into the Spartan Machine we all know is thee…

They First games of the Big Ten season have us a little worried.. opening up at the Barn, against(#23) Tubby…  Then head to NW to play a pesky Wildcat team..  Then Thad’s Buckeye’s and Kansas.. Not an easy way to start the Big ten part of the Season… 7 out of 19 BT games are against Top 25 teams…

Lets look at the Big Ten rankings…
