2008 Game 6: MSU vs. Iowa
VS.
Still in Europe, hoping to get home for the game…
Want to look at the stats between the teams, and some rankings…
In the Big Ten:
Iowa is Number 8 in scoring offense,
Iowa is Number 3 in pass defense
Iowa is 4th in rush defense.
Spartans are 6th in scoring offense
Spartans are 10th in pass defense
Spartans are 7th in rush defense
Before you swallow too hard and become concerned.… Look at who Iowa has played.. and the overall power rankings… I am sure Iowa’s numbers will get worse as they play more quality teams… They are on the verge of a difficult stretch as their opponents get harder week by week.. Starting with the Spartans. Only quality teams Iowa has played Pitt and the Wild cats, Which they lost….
Iowa and Purdue are the worst rated teams the Spartans will play in the next 5 games.... The Ratings take into account each teams records, strength of schedule, records of opponents, type of beer they drink, Size of shoes and stuff like that, so you can really put confidence in theses....
Sure, they have the #2 back in the big ten.. but, when looking at the teams records... Is Greene really Number 2 ??

The Wild cats successfully shut down Iowa in the second half... I think the Spartans can do the same for the entire game...
The only chance that Iowa has is the air attack, since I doubt Greene will gain much in the Spartan "D" line...
More analysis later... After a couple beers in the pub.. Its 6 hours time difference... so.. .Its 5:00 O'Clock somewhere....

dont understand the stats but looks good dad. see you friday for moms birthday and TAILGATE! love ya!
Like the analysis. Only thing you did not project, which i was looking for was a spread. JR is getting used a lot and i'd like to see wiley do a lot better this week and another pass receiver or two in the mix. If JR is running and that's all we got then we will not pose any surprize. I dont' want to see any more repeated big pass plays against us like last week, thats a big hole that needs to be filled.
